Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Vectren Foundation. Each year, we fund hundreds of organizations that impact our customers and the communities in which we all live and work. We receive (and evaluate) thousands of proposals, so while many opportunities are aligned to our areas of focus, we are only able to fund a small percentage of the total number received.

For your convenience, we have developed an online proposal tool to reduce submission and response times and reduce the amount of paper consumed using hard-copy methods. The Foundation does not accept requests or proposals by mail, fax, email or phone.

Before getting started, be sure to read the full list of Foundation guidelines, requirements and procedures. Please submit your final application only once.

The Vectren Foundation now offers Program-Related Investments (PRIs) for qualified initiatives requiring significant capital investment. With a PRI, select organizations can access inexpensive capital, build credit, and achieve outcomes that would be difficult to attain through grants alone. Learn more about PRIs

basic funding requirements & documents

The documents and information you will need to complete your submission are:

  • Federal Employee Identification Number (EIN) for your organization

  • A copy of your organization's IRS Letter of Determination

  • A copy of your current budget for the project, program, activity or event

  • A listing of the members of your Board of Directors

  • Any other supplementary materials that describe your organization or support your proposal
